After dropping the first two games of the season opening series at Wrigley Field, the Milwaukee Brewers salvaged the finale on Sunday 5-4. It was a come from behind effort as Freddy Peralta served up a three run homer in the first inning to the Cubs’ Japanese rookie Seiya Suzuki. Milwaukee used the long ball to recover as Willy Adames launched a solo shot in the third, Rowdy Tellez hit a two run bomb in the sixth to put the Brewers on top 4-3. Chicago responded thanks to a pair of wild pitches from Jake Cousins to tie the game but in the top of the 7th, Chicago area native Mike Brosseau delivered a pinch hit, solo shot for the 5-4 lead. Relievers Devin Williams and Josh Hader finished strong in the last two frames to nail down the first win of the year. The Brewers (1-2) head to Baltimore to meet the Orioles (0-3) in their home opener at Camden Yards Monday afternoon. Adrian Houser will get the nod for the Crew.
