MANITOWOC, WI (WTAQ) – The sheriff in Manitowoc County says a deputy is recovering after a drunk man in a Corvette smashed into his squad car early Sunday morning.
It happened along I-43 near Highway 310 about 2:30.
The sheriff says the deputy was parked in the median, but the Corvette left the interstate and smashed into the back of his SUV.
The deputy was taken to a Green Bay Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Rescue crews had to cut the Corvette driver out of his car. He was flown to a Green Bay hospital with severe life threatening injuries.
