According to the USDA, Tyson Foods announced a recall of frozen chicken that may be contaminated with listeria. The recall was announced after ag department investigators found out about two people who were sick with Listeriosis, which ended in one death.
The investigation found evidence that the illnesses were linked to frozen chicken products such as chicken strips, chicken pizza, and pulled chicken breast produced between last December and April of this year.
Consumers are encouraged to check any chicken products from Tyson Foods, Jet’s Pizza, and Casey’s General Store with the establishment code P-7089.
Listeriosis is an infection caused by the listeria bacteria with symptoms like fever, convulsions, aches, and an upset stomach.
