GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – Another day, another record in our warm start to November.
The National Weather Service says Green Bay reached 75 degrees on Monday, breaking the old record of 74, set in 1999.
It was the fifth day in a row a record high temperature has been broken.
It’s been the warmest start to November on record, through the first eight days of the month. The NWS says the average high temperature has been 52.3 degrees. Compare that to last year’s cold start of 29.7 degrees, the third-coldest on record.
It would take a little bit to record the latest 70-degree day in the year, however. The temperature hit 72 degrees on Nov. 19, 1953, setting the record.
If you’re enjoying the late dose of summerlike weather, Monday is the last day for it. Scattered rain showers on Monday night lead to a cooler, rainy day on Tuesday. FOX 11 meteorologists are forecasting highs in the 40s for the rest of the week.
