OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Oshkosh Corp. has laid off 80 employees.
Company leaders say the employees were all salaried, office-based workers. No union employees were affected.
The employees were part of the company’s Transport segment, working in both the Defense and Delivery sides. The number represented about 3% of the Transport workforce.
“This was a structural realignment to bring our cost structure and organizational layers in line with current business volume — it was not connected to any program or proposal effort,” the company said in a statement. “We sized this action specifically to address our structural issues in one move. We are not anticipating further reductions at this time.”
Affected employees were notified on Tuesday. They have been offered severance packages and help finding new work.
