Aijalon Baldwin (Brown Co. Jail)
(WTAQ-WLUK) — An inmate at Oshkosh Correctional Institution was sentenced to an additional 15 years for attempting to entice a minor while incarcerated.
Aijalon Baldwin, 36, was imprisoned for strangulation and suffocation when between February and April 2026, Baldwin engaged in a pattern of sexually exploitative communication with a minor.
According to court records, during this period, prison staff intercepted illicit images sent to him, monitored phone calls in which Baldwin discussed sexualized topics with the child, and observed troubling conduct during video visits. In these communications, Baldwin also fantasized about strangling the child, echoing the violent conduct underlying his prior conviction.
In pronouncing sentence, Judge Conway noted that the offense reflected a defiant contempt for the prison’s rules and for the justice system intended to hold him accountable.
“A prisoner who continues to abuse a child even while confined is truly dangerous,” said First Assistant U.S. Attorney Brad Schimel. “There is no alternative but to keep him separated from the rest of society in prison where he will remain for a very long time. This was outstanding work by corrections staff and law enforcement to intercept and terminate Baldwin’s outrageous conduct.”
Following his 15-year prison sentence, will be 10 years of supervised release.
