(LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers are monitoring several injuries as they prepare for Sunday’s rivalry game against the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field.
Offensive linemen Aaron Banks, Jacob Monk, and Jager Burton did not practice Wednesday, raising concerns about depth along the line.
Starting right tackle Anthony Belton was limited with a knee injury, while defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt was also a limited participant.
In better news for Green Bay, defensive tackle Anthony Campbell returned to practice after missing two games, and rookie cornerback Brandon Cisse was a full participant despite a neck injury.
Let’s talk Bears/Packers: In looking ahead to Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears, Packers coach Matt LaFleur said that they’ll be tested by the Bears running game.
LaFleur said that the key for the Packers will be playing complementary football.
He said that facing the Bears is a big divisional game.
Packers tight end Tucker Kraft has had a issue with dropping passes so far this season. LaFleur talked about that.
LaFleur also talked about facing the Bears Tyson Bagent.
The Packers certainly will want to avoid as much as possible being in third down situations offensively because the Bears are second in the NFL on third down defense.
LaFleur said that that team needs to stay on schedule.
How does LaFleur know that his team is focused on a 1-0 mentality?
Krafting his answers: Recently, Bears coach Ben Johnson said “F” the Packers which caused considerable outcry when the Packers coach LaFleur didn’t use equally strong language back.
Packers tight end Tucker Kraft was asked if that bothered him when Johnson said that.
Kraft also talked about if he wants his head coach to crack back on Johnson.
As for on the field issues, Kraft was asked why he has dropped the ball so much.
What’s the answer, more jugs machine, or what?
