(WISCONSIN TIMBER RATTLERS) GRAND CHUTE, WI – The Milwaukee Brewers have announced a pair of Wisconsin Timber Rattlers alumni as the winners of their 2026 Robin Yount Performance Awards. Andrew Fischer is Milwaukee’s Minor League Player of the Year. Josh Knoth is the Minor League Pitcher of the Year for the Brewers. The Robin Yount Performance Awards are presented annually to recognize the top performers in the Brewers Minor League system.
Fischer led Minor League Baseball in home runs in 2026. He hit 48 in the regular season and added two more during the Southern League Playoffs with the Biloxi Shuckers. Milwaukee selected Fischer in the first round of the 2025 draft out of the University of Tennessee with the twentieth overall pick. He made his professional debut with the Timber Rattlers in 2025 and appeared in nineteen games at the end of last season. Fischer returned to the Rattlers to start the 2026 season and hit .298 with 20 HR and 50 RBI in 54 games before a promotion to Biloxi on June 16.
Fischer would appear in 72 games for the Shuckers and hit .254 with 28 homers and 64 RBI. Fischer led the Brewers organization in homers (48), RBI (114), slugging percentage (.654), OPS (1.067), and runs (107). He is currently the #5 prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers system on MLB Pipeline.
Knoth was Milwaukee’s competitive balance round pick with the 33rd overall selection of the 2023 draft out of Patchogue-Medford HS in New York. He bounced back from missing the 2025 season due to Tommy John Surgery to join Wisconsin on May 21 after three rehab appearances for the Arizona Complex League Brewers.
In sixteen appearances – fourteen starts – as a Timber Rattler in 2026, Knoth was 5-3 with a 4.33 ERA and 66 strikeouts in 68-2/3 innings pitched before he was promoted to Biloxi on August 27. He made three regular season starts for the Shuckers and finished his campaign with a start in Game One of the Southern League Championship Series. Knoth allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts over six innings in that playoff game against the Rocket City Trash Pandas. MLB Pipeline rates Knoth as the #9 prospect in Milwaukee’s minor league system.
