(WTAQ-WLUK) — More than 25 Northeast Wisconsin companies have made the list of nominees for the 2026 Coolest Things Made in Wisconsin.
The first round of voting continues through Tuesday, Sept. 29
There are 108 total nominees competing in the 11th annual contest.
Put on by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, the competition showcases the state’s $73.8 billion manufacturing industry.
Products include Wisconsin favorites like the original cheesehead and Johnsonville Brats.
There’s also heavy machinery like Brillion-made Ariens lawnmowers and sports airplanes made in Oshkosh.
Voting began Sept. 21 and the Top 16 vote earners will advance to the Manufacturing Madness portion of the competition.
Companies will then go head to head until a winner is determined.
“The Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest exists to shine a spotlight on the incredible innovation, craftsmanship, and manufacturing excellence that are at the cornerstone of Wisconsin’s economy,” shared WMC’s President/CEO Kurt R. Bauer. “This program gives Wisconsinites a chance to learn about and celebrate the products made in their communities, and recognize the manufacturers who create family-supporting careers and are responsible for just under 20 percent of Wisconsin’s GDP.”

The winner will be announced at WMC’s Business Day in Madison on Oct. 27.
