(LEARFIELD) – The Philadelphia Phillies will have to wait at least another game to clinch a post-season berth.
Strong pitching by Logan Henderson and another big hit by William Contreras highlighted a 4-1 Brewers win Wednesday night.
Phillies hitters were stopped cold, going 0-for-12 with runners in scoring position.
Henderson earned his 11th win, going 5 innings and allowing 1 run on 4 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said that Henderson was once again terrific.
Murphy said Henderson has been consistent all season.
Murphy talked about what’s worked for Henderson compared to last year.
DL Hall pitched 2 innings in relief with Abner Uribe and Trevor Megill each pitching a scoreless inning.
Brice Turang and Christian Yelich each hit homers.
Turang gave the Brewers a 1-0 in the first inning with his second home run of the season while Yelich hit his home run in the second inning to give the Brewers a 2-run lead.
Aaron Nola took the loss for Philadelphia.
Bryse Wilson starts the series finale tonight. Wilson who has appeared in 15 games this season for the Phillies, the Cubs and the Brewers has an ERA of 3.67. It will be his first start of the season.
With the Brewers this season, Wilson has pitched 24 2/3 innings, allowing 7 runs on 28 hits.
The Phillies will counter with Andrew Painter who is 3-10 with a 5.59 ERA.

Pennant chase: The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the San Diego Padres 5-1 on Wednesday.
Combined with the Brewers win, Milwaukee has a 2-game lead over LA for the National League’s best record with 4 games to play.
