(ST. NORBERT COMMUNICATIONS ) STEVENS POINT – St. Norbert College battled to a 2-1 road victory over UW-Stevens Point in a non-conference game at Loos Family Field.
The Green Knights (2-1-1) won their first road game of the season after taking a 2-0 lead in the second half. Alex Sada (pictured) scored just before the halftime whistle at 44:29 to make it 1-0, while Davis Vega doubled the lead at 56:19 off an assist from Charlie Anguil.
The Pointers were able to score a consolation at 65:24, when Connor Urban converted a penalty.
The Green Knights were outshot 11-10, but had more shots on goal than the Pointers (8-4). Sada had three shots on goal, while Ben Swicionis had two.
Jackson Kiszka made three saves for St. Norbert, two coming in the second half. Blayton Will made six saves for Stevens Point.
The Green Knights will conclude non-conference play this weekend against Lawrence University and Carroll University.

ST. NORBERT 0, LAWRENCE 0
DE PERE – St. Norbert College was held to a goalless stalemate with Lawrence University in a non-conference match at Schneider Stadium.
The Green Knights (1-3-1) held strong against the Vikings, fending off a late Lawrence push at goal in the final 15 minutes. Leah Hess (pictured) made an outstanding save to keep the game goalless at 76:22, when a Lawrence header nearly found the top right corner. The sophomore made five saves to keep her second clean sheet of the season.
Aleah Reesman and Mya Gonzalez had St. Norbert’s two looks on goal, both falling just wide.
The Vikings were left frustrated despite outshooting the Green Knights 15-2.
The Green Knights will take on Lake Forest College on Saturday in Illinois before starting conference play next Wednesday against Marian University.
