MARINETTE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Two people were arrested over the weekend after drugs were found in their vehicle during a traffic stop.
According to the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, a patrol deputy conducted the stop for a traffic violation at U.S. Highway 41 in the Town of Grover on Aug. 15 at 5:04 a.m.
During the stop, K9 unit Bouwa was deployed and alerted to the odor of illegal substances.
The following drugs were then located in the vehicle:
- 48.115 grams of cocaine/fentanyl
- 32.005 grams of methamphetamine
- 14.770 grams of cocaine
- 4.570 grams of black tar heroin
As a result, 45-year-old Jason D. Mills from Niagara and 52-year-old Shannon M. Unrein from Vulcan, MI were both arrested.
Mills was arrested on the following charges:
- Possession with intent to deliver cocaine PTAC 2nd and subsequent offense
- Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl PTAC 2nd and subsequent offense
- Possession of cocaine 2nd and subsequent offense PTAC
- Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine PTAC and subsequent offense
- Possession of narcotic drugs 2nd and subsequent offense
- Maintain a drug trafficking place PTAC 2nd and subsequent offense
- Felony bail jumping
Unrein was also arrested on the following charges:
- Possession with intent to deliver cocaine PTAC 2nd and subsequent offense
- Possession with intent to deliver fentanyl PTAC 2nd and subsequent offense
- Possession of cocaine 2nd and subsequent offense PTAC
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine PTAC and subsequent offense
- Maintain a drug trafficking place PTAC 2nd and subsequent offense
- Felony bail jumping
