(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers begin a 3-day weekend series with the Los Angeles Angels in Anaheim California on Friday night.
The Brewers who dropped 2-of-3 games to the San Francisco Giants will send Shane Drohan to the mound.
Drohan is 5-4 with a 3.51 ERA.
The Angels will counter with Ryan Johnson who is 2-5 with a 7.34 ERA.
Drohan has not faced any of the batters on the Angels roster previously.
On the Brewers roster, only Andrew Vaughn has a plate appearance against Johnson. Vaughn is 0-for-1 against him.
Milwaukee comes into the game with a 67-41 record and in first place in the National League Central Division. They hold a 5 1/2 game lead over the second-place Chicago Cubs.
The Angels are in last in the American League West with a 42-67 record. They are 13 1/2 games behind first-place Texas.
The Brewers are 6-4 in their last 10 games and 31-21 on the road.
Los Angeles, losers of its last 3 games, is 4-6 in its last 10 games and 24-31 at home.
