(LEARFIELD) – The Cleveland Guardians used three home runs to salvage the final game of a three-game series Thursday afternoon, 4-2 at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
The Brewers wasted a solid performance by starting pitcher Shane Drohan, who allowed just one run in five innings.
Drohan said his biggest problem was letting the Guardians batters hang around in counts.
Grant Anderson took the loss in relief.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said they had opportunities and went deep into their bullpen.
Milwaukee tries to bounce back tonight behind record-setting starter Jacob Misiorowski in the opener of a weekend series in Atlanta.
Misiorowski is 8-2 with a 1.34 ERA.
Atlanta will counter with Martin Perez who is 5-3 with a 2.90 ERA.
The game can be heard tonight beginning with the pre-game show at 5:40 p.m. on 97.5 and 1360 WTAQ.
Brewers lose Priester: The Brewers announced that they will be losing starting pitcher Quinn Priester for the season as he undergoes thoracic outlet surgery.
