(LEARFIELD) – Milwaukee Brewers batters continued to pound the ball in June while beating the Cleveland Guardians Wednesday 9-4 at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
Milwaukee is averaging more than seven-and-a-half runs per game this month.
Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio had home runs, and rookie Cooper Pratt went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Pratt talked about his first hit.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about Pratt’s day.
Chad Patrick returned to form with three-and-a-third scoreless innings to earn the victory.
Murphy talked about the job Patrick did out of the bullpen.
Patrick said that he was able to bounce back after a poor outing the last time.
Brandon Sproat started for the Brewers but left in the third inning with a leg cramp which he talked about.
Rookie Shane Drohan pitches this afternoon as the Brewers go for the sweep.
