DE PERE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — A small fire in the attic of a condo unit in De Pere caused $5,000 in damages.
Shortly before 10 a.m. on Sunday, light smoke began showing from an open window at 1415 Mission Heights, a 6-unit condo complex in the City of De Pere.
De Pere Fire Rescue and the Fox River Fire District were dispatched to the complex at approximately 9:48 a.m.
Upon arrival, responders entered the affected unit and discovered burning insulation in the attic area.
Responders began pulling ceiling to gain access to the visibly affected area. The fire was successfully taken under control in less than 20 minutes. Ventilation was also done to remove any other smoke from the condo.
No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $5,000.
