GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — On the eve of the big Wisconsin-Notre Dame game at Lambeau Field, downtown Green Bay is throwing a party for fans.
Wisconsin Athletics and On Broadway, Inc., along with other community partners, including the city of Green Bay announced the specifics of its Badger Bash North Tuesday.
This free, community event, set for Saturday, Sept. 5, includes numerous family-friendly festivities in the Broadway District including:
- Family Football Combine featuring numerous combine stations including 40 yard dash, vertical jump, QB toss and more
- Face painting, balloon animals and a bounce house
- UW Marching Band parade over the Main Street Bridge
- Badger Program featuring the radio voice of the Badgers, Matt Lepay
- Live music from Fun with Atoms and FBI & The Untouchable Horns
- Fireworks show over the Fox River
- Food trucks, beverage tents, licensed Badgers apparel for sale, kids activities, games, and exciting sponsor activations with additional activities
More announcements will be made this summer including who the parade grand marshal will be and an additional activity headed up by Badgers Give Back that the community will be invited to participate in.
“We’re thrilled to be back in Titletown this fall for what’s shaping up to be a truly historic weekend,” said Mitchell Pinta, Wisconsin Athletics Deputy Athletic Director/Chief Revenue Officer. “Badger fans from across the state and country are in for an experience unlike anything else, a full weekend in downtown Green Bay capped off by cheering on Wisconsin at Lambeau Field.”
