New Oshkosh Police Department badge.
OSHKOSH, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Officials are searching the Fox River after a witness reported seeing an individual jump from the Main Street Bridge in Oshkosh.
It happened just after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Officers immediately responded to the location and began searching the area for the individual.
Members of the Oshkosh Police Department’s Drone Team are using a drone to assist in the search efforts. The Oshkosh Fire Department’s Dive Rescue Team and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office’s Dive Rescue Team are also on scene.
At this time, the individual has not been located, and his identity is unknown.
The person was described as a white male with long hair, wearing what appeared to be blue jeans and a dark-colored sweatshirt.
