(LEARFIELD/247NEWSSOURCE) – The Wisconsin men’s basketball team will begin its NCAA Tournament run today.
The fifth-seeded Badgers will take on number 12 seed High Point in the first round in Portland.
Badgers coach Greg Gard talked about High Point and the challenges they present.
As for the Badgers, are they still trying to prove themselves in the NCAA Tournament? Do they come in with a chip on their shoulder?
Gard said that once the tournament starts you can cross out the seed numbers.
Gard said that everybody has to dial it up come tournament time.
This is UW’s 25th appearance in March Madness in the past 27 seasons. The game is scheduled to tip off at 12:50 Thursday afternoon and can be seen on TBS.
