(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers dropped a pair of spring training games on Wednesday, losing 4-3 to the Los Angeles Angels and 7-3 to the Seattle Mariners.
Against the Angels, Andrew Vaughn had a pair of hits to boost his spring training batting average to .389.
Jake Bauers also had a pair of hits. He’s now batting .448.
Aaron Ashby and DL Hall both threw a pair of scoreless innings.
Kyle Harrison started, went 2 2/3 innings, allowing 4 runs (1 earned) on 4 hits.
In the game against Seattle, Tyler Black had 2 hits and drove in 3 runs while Cooper Pratt had 3 hits and scored twice.
Bryce Perkins had a pair of hits as did Marco Dinges.
Carlos Rodriguez started for the Brewers and allowed 4 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks over 4 innings.
The Brewers will play the Texas Rangers tonight with the game airing on 97.5 WTAQ.
Brewers adding an outdoor plaza: The Brewers have released preliminary plans for a new outdoor plaza at American Family Field.
TMJ-4 is reporting that the facility will be a free, open-access space available on game days.
It is to be called the UW Credit Union Plaza.
The Brewers say they want to extend the ballpark experience beyond the gates.
There will be a beer garden, a stage, and an area for the kids.
