(LEARFIELD) – Is there some envy issues among the Packers wide receiver corps?
That topic was broached in Monday’s news conferene with Packers coach Matt LaFleur after they were “left out” of the passing game against the Pittsburgh Steeler while tight end Tucker Kraft was targeted 9 times.
LaFleur was asked if they have certain intentions to target more receivers going into a game.
LaFleur also talked about why they didn’t run jet sweeps against Pittsburgh, a play often called by LaFleur.
On to the quarterback, LaFleur was asked how significant it was for Jordan Love to have a big game against Aaron Rodgers.
LaFleur also talked about whether there were any surprises in Christian Watson’s play.
Finger poke of doom: At one point during the game on Sunday, Steelers wide receiver D.K. Metcalf put his finger inside the mask of Packers defensive player Quay Walker.
LaFleur said that Walker handled the situation well.
Packers headed to other teams: The Packers have lost a cornerback taken in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Micah Robinson was on the practice squad when he was signed by the Tennessee Titans.
Tight end Ben Sims, who was released last weekend to make roster room for Christian Watson, has been signed by the Vikings.
He played all 34 games for Green Bay over the last two seasons – six of them starts.
