(247NEWSSOURCE) – The Milwaukee Brewers are the last team to punch their ticket to the Championship Series.
The team edged the Cubs 3-1 in Game Five of the NLDS at American Family Field in Milwaukee Saturday night.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about the series win.
Murphy said they weren’t concerned about the last time they won a series.
Christian Yelich said that it was a memorable win.
Andrew Vaughn slugged a go-ahead solo shot in the fourth inning as Milwaukee reached its first NLCS since 2018 and will host the Dodgers in Game One on Monday.
Jacob Misiorowski got the win with 4 innings of relief work while Abner Uribe got a save, working the final 2 innings.
Yelich said that Misiorowski was excellent.
Colin Rea got the loss in relief for Chicago, which hasn’t won a playoff round since 2017.
