(LEARFIELD) Cincinnati Bengals coach Zac Taylor has named 40-year-old veteran quarterback Joe Flacco his starter for Sunday’s game in Lambeau Field.
NFL.com reports that Flacco takes over for Jake Browning, who was winless in three games.
Quarterback Joe Burrow is injured. Flacco practiced with his new teammates for the first time Wednesday after coming from Cleveland in a trade.
The Packers are coming off their bye week..
Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about facing Flacco for the second tine this season.
LaFleur also spokeon Flacco’s ability to pick up the Bengals offense in less than a week’s time.
LaFleur said that he expects this to mostly be the Bengals offense, not something special created for Joe Flacco.
