(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) – GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay women’s soccer team fell to the Northern Kentucky Norse on Thursday evening at Aldo Santaga Stadium, 1-0. The lone goal of the game was scored in the 57th minute by NKU’s Erykah Cornett.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Phoenix outshot the visiting Norse in the first 45 minutes, 5-4, but the score remained 0-0 through the first half. The Norse took the lead early in the second half off a goal by Cornett in the 57th minute, assisted by Sophia Kapszukiewicz.
The Phoenix offense couldn’t get as much going despite outshooting Northern Kentucky nine shots to seven. Allison Raasch had the potential game-tying shot in play with just two minutes left, but the ball missed high, and the Phoenix didn’t get another shot off before the final whistle blew.

- Anna Scott totaled two saves for the Phoenix out of seven total Northern Kentucky shots.
- Green Bay outshot NKU 9-7 and tied with three on goal each.
- Aixa Helbringer-Escobar and Allison Raasch each had two shots each to lead Green Bay.
