(MARQUETTE COMMUNICATIONS) OMAHA, Nebraska – The Marquette University men’s soccer team dropped their conference opener 1-0 at Creighton on Friday night.
The Golden Eagles (3-1-2, 0-1-0 BIG EAST) played their first road game of the season. MU was held to 10 shots with just two shots on goal.
Cameron Simpson earned his second start of the season and had a career-high five saves.
Creighton (4-2-2, 1-0-0 BIG EAST) was led by Brian Edelman who scored the game winner in the 81st minute.
