(247NEWSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers were swept on the road.
Milwaukee lost 6-3 to the Texas Rangers in the final game of its road trip.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about this being the first time the Brewers were swept since opening weekend at the New York Yankees and just twice last season.
How does Murphy feel about being swept?
Murphy spoke about Jake Burger’s 2 home runs off of Freddy Peralta.
Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio each hit a solo home run in the setback.
Peralta allowed five runs and struck out nine batters over five innings to get the loss.
The loss by the Brewers combined with the win by the Chicago Cubs shrinks the Brewers’ lead in the National League Central Division to 5 1/2 games.
The Brewers have the night off before hosting the Cardinals on Friday.
