(LEARFIELD) – A 5-4 loss Tuesday night means the Brewers have dropped the first two games of a series against the Texas Rangers.
The Rangers scored four times in the bottom of the fifth to take a lead they wouldn’t give up.
Jackson Chourio had three hits in the loss, and Jake Bauers slammed his seventh home run.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about the Rangers’ come-from-behind win and gave credit to rookie centerfielder Michael Helman.
Murphy also spoke on using Rhys Hoskins to pinch hit for Joey Ortiz in the sixth.
Murphy said that the walk by Brewers starting pitcher Chad Patrick in the fifth inning changed things.
Aaron Ashby took the loss in relief.
Freddy Peralta tries to salvage a game in the series when he starts this afternoon with the game being heard on 1440 and 101.9 WNFL.
