EAU CLAIRE, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Don Majkowski has been cited for disorderly conduct in an incident where he’s accused of choking an employee of an Eau Claire bar during a disturbance.
Police records show officers were dispatched to Brother’s Bar on Water Street just after 11 p.m. Aug. 29 for “an undesirable.”
A bartender told officers Majkowski and another man were pushing each other near the bar, according to the records. When an employee tried to separate the men, Majkowski grabbed the employee’s throat, leaving a visible red mark.
Police say Majkowski was extremely intoxicated and “he was unable to unlock his phone to contact his Uber” so officers drove him to his hotel.
On the way to hotel, Majkowski told officers “he was jumped because boyfriends of the girls at the bar were jealous of him because he was a prior NFL player.”
Majkowski has a Sept. 30 court date for the citation, which carries a cost of $213.10, according to online court records.
He played 10 years in the NFL, including his first six with the Packers.
