(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers are looking for Andruw Monasterio to prolong an 11-game hitting streak against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday at American Family Field.
Jose Quintana gets the start for the Brewers, who are 85-54 this season and first in the NL Central and lead the second-place Chicago Cubs by 5 games.
Aaron Nola is expected to start for the Phillies, who are 80-58 and first in the NL East.
Milwaukee Manager Pat Murphy talked about whether the Brewers have toyed with the idea of moving starter pitcher Jacob Misiorowski to the bullpen given his short starts.
Murphy also said that the Phillies, after the Brewers swept them in Philadelphia, may be looking for a bit of revenge in this series.
Murphy has also shed more light on bullpen arm Shelby Miller’s injury he suffered Monday.
Murphy says Miller “felt a pop”, and will undergo further testing to determine the extent of the issue.
