Danny O’Neil will replace Billy Edwards after Edwards was injured during the season opener against Miami of Ohio.
Badgers coach Luke Fickell said that he likes the kind of arrogance that O’Neil brings to the quarterback position.
Fickell said that he’s expecting a lot of growth from O’Neil from Game 1 to Game 2.
And if called upon, Fickell said that new No. 2 quarterback Hunter Simmons will be ready.
As for Billy Edwards’ status, Fickell was somewhat coy.
O’Neil ready to lead: O’Neil said that he loves the comaraderie that he’s built with his teammates.
He also talked about where the team needs to be better this week.
