(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers lost the final game of a series in Toronto Sunday by an 8-4 score.
The teams were tied 4-4 when the Blue Jays scored once in the fourth and three times in the fifth inning.
Jackson Chourio returned from the injured list to go 4-for-5, and Milwaukee got homers from Brice Turang and William Contreras.
Brandon Woodruff took the loss.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said his team played poorly fundamentally today.
He said that it was remarkable how many mistakes we made.
Murphy added that Woodruff deserved a better fate.
The Brewers open a home series against the Philadelphia Phillies this afternoon at 3:10 with rookie Jacob Misiorowski taking the mound.
