(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored 5 runs in the sixth inning and went on to defeat the Toronto Bluejays 7-2 Friday night in Toronto.
Andruw Monasterio opened the scoring with a solo home run. Andrew Vaughn and Caleb Durbin followed with run-scoring singles. Then Isaac Collins added a 2-run double.
Toronto scored a pair of runs in their half of the inning before the Brewers tacked on 2 more runs in the seventh inning.
They scored the runs on a ground out by Christian Yelich and a single by Vaughn.
Vaughn finished with 3 hits for the Brewers while Collins, Durbin and Brice Turang each had 2,
Freddy Peralta pitched 6 innings of 1-hit ball to get the win and improve to 16-5.
Shane Bieber took the loss for Toronto.
