(LEARFIELD) – Appearing in an interview on “Up and Adams” with Kay Adams, Packer Head Coach Matt LaFleur seemed to squash any rumor that the team was considering cutting wide Receiver Romeo Doubs.
LaFleur said he’d be shocked if Doubs went anywhere, and the receiver has been competing and doing everything that the team needs to see from him.
The decision will ultimately come down to General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
NFL cutdowns required to be completed by 3:00 pm CT on Tuesday.
Getting chippy: Players got a bit feisty during Thursday’s joint practice between the Green Bay Packers and the Seattle Seahawks.
Packers right tackle Zach Tom said that the Seahawks were crossing the line, so he reacted and was kicked out of practice by Matt Lafleur.
Anthony Belton then had to take over at right tackle after Tom was kicked out of practice.
Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon said that this kind of thing can be expected.
Tom added that it shows that the Packers players have each other’s backs.
Tight ends take it to Seattle: Packers tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft had a strong practice against the Seahawks.
Musgrave feels good about their tight end play.
He was asked if the Packers have the best tight end room in the league.
Kraft said that the coaches trust him and he feels ready to take the next step in his game.
He said that he’s worked hard for that extra responsibility.
The Packers and Seahawks kickoff the final pre-season game at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Lambeau Field.
