(WNFL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored 4 runs in the seventh inning to defeat the New York Mets 7-4 at American Family Field in Milwaukee on Saturday.
Trailing 4-3 in the seventh,the Brewers scored on a groundball out by Sal Frelick, a single by Isaac Collins and then got a 2-run home run from William Contreras.
Contreras hit his home run after a pitch-timing violation which was called against the Mets, allowing Contreras basically a do-over.
Brice Turang also homered for the Brewers.
Jared Koenig got the win for Milwaukee, pitching an inning of scoreless relief to improve to 4-1.
Trevor Megill earned his 28th save.
The 2 teams will wrap up the series this afternoon at American Family Field.
