(LEARFIELD) – Writers who cover Big Ten Conference football don’t believe the Wisconsin Badgers have made the improvements they needed.iT’S
Cleveland-dot-com checked in with those writers to come up with a preseason ranking of conference teams.
Wisconsin came in 12th.
To add insult to injury, the Border Rival Minnesota Gophers were picked 11th.
The Badgers were reportedly one of four teams to get a last-place vote.
It’s all about the money: There’s a good reason the Wisconsin men’s basketball team is playing more of its games in NBA arenas – money.
The upcoming season will see two games at the Fiserv Forum and a third college game at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, the home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz.
Playing in those bigger venues brings in more revenue.
Sports Illustrated reports that head coach Greg Gard says this could happen more often going forward.
