(LEARFIELD) SEATTLE – The Milwaukee Brewers have taken sole possession of first place in the National League’s Central Division with a 6-0 shutout of Seattle Monday night.
That’s 11 victories in a row for Milwaukee.
A four-spot in the top of the sixth broke a scoreless tie.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about the at-bats in the sixth inning.
That made a winner out of starter Brandon Woodruff, who produced six strong innings in his third start.
Murphy had this to say about Woodruff’s start.
Murphy was asked if Woodruff could have pitched deeper into the game.
Woodruff said that the game plan worked well.
He gave credit for the work William Contreras did behind the plate.
Brice Turang, Christian Yelich, and Jackson Chourio each had two hits, with Chourio driving in a pair.
Jacob Misiorowski is the scheduled starter for tonight’s game against the Mariners which you can hear on 1360 and 97.5 WTAQ.
