(LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers are roaring into this week’s Major League Baseball All-Star break on a seven-game winning streak.
Sunday’s 8-1 win over the Washington Nationals at American Family Field in Milwaukee kept Milwaukee one game behind the Chicago Cubs in the National League Central Division race.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said it’s no time to rest of the accomplishments of the first half.
Murphy said that the team didn’t play especially well against Washington.
Starter Freddy Peralta won for the 11th time while taking a no-hitter into the sixth inning.
Murphy talked about Peralta’s strong perforance.
Jackson Chourio and Brice Turang slammed home runs in the victory.
Murphy also talked about Brewers outfield Sal Frelick who left the game with what appeared to be an injured hamstring.
The Brewers return to action Friday in Los Angeles against the Dodgers.
