(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – The Milwaukee Brewers completed a 3-game sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday at American Family Field with a 10-inning 3-2 win. Brewers manager Pat Murphy was pleased with the 3-game sweep but he added that the Dodgers are not firing at full strength.
But Murphy added that his team is one that is going to keep coming after you.
The Brewers won the game in the 10th inning on Jackson Chourio’s run-scoring single. Andrew Vaughn had tied the game for the Brewers in the ninth inning with a pinch-hit single.
Brewers starting pitcher Jose Quintana said that it’s special to sweep the Dodgers.
Quintana allowed 1 run on 2 his and 4 walks over 6 innings.
After the game, Murphy told the team that closer Trevor Megill who struck out the side in the Dodgers’ half of the tenth inning was named to the National All-Star team. Megill said that being an all-star was a goal from the start of the year.
Megill will replace Freddy Peralta on the All-Star roster because Peralta is pitching for the Brewers on Sunday.
The Brewers have the day off today before facing the Washington Nationals in a 3-game series starting Friday.
