APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) — The city of Appleton promises an evening of fun for its annual Fourth of July fireworks event this year.
The Independence Day Celebration will be held on Thursday, July 3 at Appleton Memorial Park, starting at 4 p.m.
Last year, the event was scaled back because the city couldn’t find an organizer to replace longtime managing group, Appleton Jaycees, which stepped down in 2023.
Now under new management with the Wisconsin Entertainment Group, the event will feature more than just fireworks this year.
Planned activities include:
- Music by Yo-DJ
- An inflatable area for children
- Food trucks provided by Fox Valley Food Trucks
- Beverages available from Stone Arch Brewpub
- A fireworks display presented by Festival Foods
