(LEARFIELD) – Showing a fastball that touched 100 miles per hour at times, Milwaukee Brewers rookie Jacob Misiorowski didn’t allow a hit while winning his first Major League start Thursday, 6-0 over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Misiorowski went five innings and walked four batters.
Misiorowski was asked if this was anything to get overly excited about?
He said he didn’t want to leave the game with a cramp.
He said that he’s excited to get into a groove now and go every fifth day.
And, Misiorowski said there was a lot of adrenaline flowing.
Aaron Ashby threw the final three innings to get the save that helped Milwaukee jump over St. Louis into third place in the National League Central.
Jackson Chourio hit his 12th home run.
Sonny Gray took the loss for St. Louis.
Staff ace Freddy Peralta is scheduled to start tonight’s second game of the series at American Family Field.

Civale wants out: Aaron Civale who had been a starting pitcher for the Brewers until Misiorowski was promoted from Triple AAA now finds himself pitching out of the bullpen.
He’s not happy with that and wants to be traded.
Civale was asked what it’s going to be like pitching out of the bullpen.
