(Reuters) -Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said she would try to call President Donald Trump on Tuesday to tell him to stop federal immigration raids and instead focus attention on the 2026 World Cup, which will include some matches in the city.
“I’m going to put out a call to him today,” Bass told a press conference. “I want to tell him to stop the raids.”
