GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – A judge dismissed a lawsuit claiming the Green Bay Packers failed to act to prevent a data breach related to the Pro Shop website.
There was a data breach in September and October. The Packers offered credit monitoring and other services to customers. Brian Garcia sued the team, seeking damages.
In a one-sentence ruling, signed Wednesday, Judge Tammy Jo Hock approved an agreement to close the case.
“The Court, having considered Plaintiff’s Stipulation of Dismissal with Prejudice, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 805.04(1), orders that the class and individual allegations set forth in this action shall be dismissed, with prejudice,” the ruling states.
The team declined to comment on the dismissal.
Transactions at the team store at Lambeau Field were not a part of the breach, the team said.
