(LEARFIELD) – Former Wisconsin Badger Nigel Hayes-Davis may be getting some looks from the NBA after leading his team to the EuroLeague championship.
Hayes-Davis scored 23 points and took down nine rebounds as Istanbul defeated Monaco, 81-70.
He was named the series’ Most Valuable Player.
Hayes-Davis also led another team to the Turkey League Championship last season.
He made first team All-Big Ten while playing for the Badgers in 2016.
Badgers men’s soccer schedule released: Mark Thursday, Aug. 21 down on your calendar. That’s when the Wisconsin men’s soccer team opens its 2025 regular season against the North Florida Ospreys beginning 7:30 p.m. at McClimon Soccer Complex.
The Badgers play twice at home that weekend with Bradley visiting Madison on Sunday, Aug. 24 at 2 p.m.
UW continues its season-opening homestand the following Friday, Aug. 29 and Monday, Sept. 1 against Western Michigan and Portland, respectively.
The Badgers visit in-state rival Marquette on Saturday, Sept. 6, in its first regular-season road game before opening Big Ten play when Maryland visits on Friday, Sept. 12, for a 7 p.m. tilt.
Other home Big Ten opponents include Washington (Sept. 26), Michigan State (Oct. 17), Penn State (Oct. 25) and the regular-season finale against Northwestern (Nov. 4).
UW also welcomes Milwaukee to Madison for a Tuesday, Oct. 7 contest.
The Badgers will play in three preseason exhibition contests, as well, visiting Green Bay on Saturday, Aug. 9, for the season’s first action, then playing host to St. Thomas and Drake on Aug. 12 and 16, respectively.
The Big Ten tournament begins Thursday Nov. 6 with quarter final action, with the final set for Sunday, Nov. 16.
The NCAA tournament begins Nov. 20.

Pair of Golden Eagles fly to NCAA track regionals: Marquette University track & field student-athletes Annika Bynum and Danny Olsen have qualified for the NCAA West First Round in the high jump and 400-meter.
Bynum qualifies for the second-straight year after tying the program record in the high jump, clearing 1.80 meters at the Uncaged Eagle Open on May 9.
The Wadsworth, Illinois native joins Erynn James ’10 and Lindsey Mirkes ’22 as the only women’s high jumpers to qualify for NCAA outdoor competition at least two times since the 2003 season.
Olsen won gold and broke his own program record with a time of 46.21 seconds in the 400-meter at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championships, becoming Marquette’s first ever conference champion in the event.
The Evergreen Park, Illinois native is making his first NCAA appearance.
The first round of the 400-meter is Wednesday, May 28 at 7:25 p.m. CT. The semifinals of the high jump are Saturday, May 31 at 3:30 p.m. CT.
