(LEARFIELD) – Two-time NBA Most Valuable Player Giannis Antetokounmpo finished third for that honor this time.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma Thunder grabbed the top spot, and Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets was second.
Antetokounmpo scored 30-point-4 points a game, to go with 11-point-9 rebounds, and six-and-a-half assists.
He becomes the first NBA player to average at least 30-10-5 in those categories over a complete season.
Bucks center Brook Lopez says it is simple why Antetokounmpo is in the running for the award every year – “he’s the best player in the world.”
