(LEARFIELD) – The Houston Astros avoided a sweep in Milwaukee by winning Wednesday afternoon, 9-1.
The Brewers’ only run came on a fifth-inning home run from Eric Haase.
The loss ends a three-game winning streak.
Quinn Priester only gave up one earned run in five innings – three overall – but took the loss.
Haase said the Brewers defense let Quinn Priester down.
Hasses said that the team may have lost the game but still won the series.
Haase talked about sitting at .500 (19-19).
Brewers manager Pat Murphy talked about how his team is now 0-13 when the opponent scores first.
He said the team is not playing as well as their 19-19 record.
Former Brew Crew closer Josh Hader pitched the ninth inning in his first appearance in Milwaukee since 2022.
The Brewers are off today, then play the Tampa Bay Rays Friday with veteran Jose Quintana getting the start.
