(247NEWSSOURCE) ST. LOUIS – The Milwaukee Brewers avoided a road sweep at the hands of the Cardinals by winning their series finale 7-1 in St. Louis on Sunday.
Milwaukee had six different players drive in a run, plating three in the first inning and four in the fourth to run away with the win.
Jose Quintana earned the victory, tossing five frames of one-run ball while striking out six to improve to 4-and-0.
The Brewers snapped a four-game losing streak.
Milwaukee is off on Monday before opening a series in Chicago against the White Sox on Tuesday.
