(GREEN BAY ATHLETICS) On Thursday morning, the Green Bay women’s basketball team and head coach Kayla Karius announced the addition of Kamy Peppler. Peppler, the Hortonville native, will come home and join the Phoenix after spending the last three seasons with the Milwaukee Panthers.
Peppler has been a consistent contributor for the Panthers, becoming a full-time starter in the past two years. In 64 games, the 5’7″ guard averaged 10.4 points, 4.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game while shooting 32-percent from deep. This past season, Peppler scored in double figures twelve times, including a season-high 26 points against IU Indy on Feb. 19, 2025. She also tallied three double-doubles on the year with points and assists. Peppler was second in the league with 151 assists, 14 behind Bailey Butler. .
“We are thrilled to welcome such a seasoned point guard to Titletown,” said Karius. “Kamy is a proven scorer and passer in the Horizon League and possesses the grit and toughness of a Green Bay women’s basketball player. We look forward to adding a veteran leader to our squad and watching her make an immediate impact. Welcome home, Kamy!”
In her first collegiate season, Peppler was named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team. During that rookie campaign, the guard started 11 games and averaged 6.4 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Peppler remarked, “The choice was pretty simple for me, being closer to home was important but also the amazing coaching staff and the culture of Green Bay Women’s Basketball was something I wanted to be a part of! I am excited to see where this journey takes me!”
Peppler had a standout career at Hortonville High School, highlighted by her Wisconsin Miss Basketball selection in 2022. She was also named All-State twice, and Co-Conference Player of the Year in her senior season.

“We are excited to add another Peppler sister to our roster!” said Karius. “Kallie is an athletic guard who uses her length well and moves well away from the ball. As an incoming sophomore, she gives us youth and depth in the wing position. Welcome to Green Bay, Kallie and the entire Peppler family!”
Peppler appeared in all 32 games for the Panthers and averaged 3.1 points and 1.3 rebounds per game. The 6’0″ guard was named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week on Feb. 17, 2025 after scoring a career-high 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting at Oakland on Feb. 15.
“I chose Green Bay because of the great coaching staff along with the winning culture,” Peppler added. “Not only that but Green Bay has always had a great community following them and we can’t wait to bring the Hortonville crowd to Green Bay!”
Kallie also had an illustrious career at Hortonville High School. She helped the Polar Bears to 88 victories during her time on the team, while being named All-Conference three times in the Fox Valley Association and earning a Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division I All-State selection as a senior.
