(LEARFIELD) MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers edged Kansas City 3-2 in 11 innings Wednesday afternoon at American Family Field when the winning run came in on Brice Turang’s bunt.
When Oliver Dunn crossed the plate, Milwaukee had its second straight win.
Turang said that it’s good coming up and coming through for the team in pressure situations.
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said there was no defense against the bunt Turang put down.
Starter Freddy Peralta limited the Royals to two hits and a run in eight innings and Jared Koenig got the win in relief.
Peralta said that his key to success was attacking early in the zone.
He said that this win feels good.
And Peralta hopes this gets teh Brewers back on track after a tough start.
Jackson Chourio knocked in a pair of runs with a homer in the first inning and a double in the 10th.
Lefty Nestor Cortes starts tonight’s game against the Reds.
