(LEARFIELD) – The Bucks made it out of snowbound New Orleans and got home in time to beat the Miami Heat Thursday 125-96.
A 44-point second quarter gave Milwaukee a big lead and it was never threatened the rest of the way.
Bucks coach Doc Rivers called it a good statement win – a professional win.
Rivers said it was a long couple of days in New Orleans with no basketball.
Gary Trent Junior came off the bench to go 7-for-7 on 3-pointers, good for 21 points.
Trent Junior talked about the no excuse mentality because of the travel issues.
As for his scoring outburst, Trent Junior said that he wanted to help as much as he could
And he talked about the quick turn-around with a trip out west.
Rivers also talked about the trip out west.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard had double-doubles.
Antetokounmpo had 25 points and a dozen rebounds.
Lillard with 29 points and 11 assists.
Milwaukee travels to Los Angeles to meet the Clippers Saturday.
