(UW ATHLETICS) – the Wisconsin men’s basketball team looks to secure the SoCal sweep against UCLA on Tuesday, January 21 after defeating USC on Saturday.

UCLA leads the all-time series 5-2 with 1972 the last time the 2 teams faced off in Los Angeles.
In 2017, UCLA beat Wisconsin 72-70 in the Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City which is the most recent meeting between the 2 teams.
That 1972-73 Wisconsin team was coached by John Powless and featured on its roster Kim and Kerry Hughes, Dale Koehler and Lamont Weaver.
Overall, Wisconsin was 11-13 that season and 5-9 in the Big Ten.
UCLA had on its roster Bill Walton, Jamaal Wilks, Dave Meyers and Swen Nater and went 30-0 overall and 14-0 in the Pac-8 beating Memphis 87-66 to win the NCAA tournament.
